World Class Emprise began as a dream in early 2006 by a honey producing family that had a passion to market quality honey and honey products. This dream was to raise the standard of honey and to create a consumer driven demand for quality honey.
The Brown family represents third and fourth generation beekeepers who operate bees as Brown Honey Farms, which has beekeeping locations in Kansas, Nebraska, and California. The primary honey extracting facility is located in Haddam, Kansas.
WCE maintains offices in Haddam, Kansas, and Parker, Colorado.
Our beekeeping operations in California primarily focuses on pollinating almonds in the Central Valley from Fresno to Modesto.
In late 2006, Jerry Brown was contacted by Mike McInnes, a pharmacist in Edinburgh, Scotland, who had authored The Hibernation Diet, a book based on eating honey before bedtime. Jerry then contacted his brother-in-law, Dr. Ron Fessenden, who was retiring from 38 years of practicing medicine. Since then, Dr. Fessenden has compiled data from the world wide research on the health benefits of honey. Dr. Fessenden and McInnes are co-authors of the new book The Honey Revolution published by WCE.
Jerry Brown, President of World Class Emprise, is the current Executive Secretary of the American Honey Producers Association. Before this position, Jerry served as President of the Kansas Honey Producers Association for 10 years. Jerry also has been Mayor of Haddam, Kansas, for 4 years and has served in many other civic and church duties.
